For professional and research use only (not medical devices)

SuperLab and SuperLabx6

Enjoy Making Experiments.

Build Psychology Experiments • Run Them • Collect Data

Easy to Learn, Easy to Teach.

SuperLab is the only software that you can teach to students and have them build experiments after a single lecture.

When you’re ready to build more complex experiments, SuperLab is also the only software that does not require you to program – build experiments like staircase and visual thresholds with a point-and-click interface.

Collect Data From Anywhere.

When your experiment is ready, you can publish an experiment with as few as two mouse clicks when using a SuperLab Cloud subscription.

Collected data is automatically uploaded to your account and the subscription is super easy to share with students.

Stimuli Types

SuperLab includes support for text, pictures, audio, movies, self-paced reading, and text RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation). It can also generate event markers via TTL or serial port.

StimTracker

Make Sense of Your Biometric Data

Mark Events • Sync Recorders in Multimodal Research

Why?

The biometric data that you collect, e.g. from EEG or eye tracker, is vastly more useful when it includes markers that tell you exactly when certain events occurred.

StimTracker can detect the onset of these events and send them to several recorders simultaneously.

Types of Events

StimTracker detects the onset of events in behavioral research, and does so autonomously to avoid operating system delays

Plug-and-Play Output

StimTracker uses m–pod to deliver its signals. This augments StimTracker’s capabilities and provides compatibility with a wide range of recorders.

Jitter Free USB

When sending event markers via USB, StimTracker delivers them with jitter free precision when used with SuperLab 6 or with our open source Python or C++ libraries.

Delay is guaranteed to be 2ms exactly, every time.

Asynchronous Output

A powerful 32-bit microprocessor running our software lets StimTracker send event markers via USB asynchronously. Without this feature, software that wants to send a 10ms long event marker has to pause execution for 10ms. In neuropsychology, psychophysiology, and other fields, this is too long of a pause. With StimTracker, the software sends a command and resumes other time-sensitive tasks – no pausing.

There are other powerful features such as a pulse scheduler and pattern generator.

Signal Filtering

Some audio stimuli are computer generated tones. Others are recorded words or sentences. Visual stimuli vary as well, as do the displays being used to present them. StimTracker includes powerful filtering options to handle all sorts of signals. Cedrus provides free software for setting the filter values, which StimTracker then stores in its flash memory.

m-POD

The key bridge to your EEG, eye tracker, NIR, and other research instruments.

How? and Why?

m–pod connects a StimTracker, response pad, or Lumina controller to a variety of EEG recorders, eye trackers, NIRs, and computers. With m–pod:

You get a true plug-and-play solution. m–pod comes ready to connect to your particular model.

You can reconfigure which signals are produced on output.

You get other signal handling options, e.g. m–pod can enforce a minimum pulse duration.

Get The Signals You Want

With m–pod, you can map any input signal to any output pin. You can even combine any number of input signals to a single output pin. No other I/O device offers this capability.

For example, by default all response pad key presses are mapped to a single output line. But an experiment requires that you know precisely which key was pressed and when. You can do that easily with m-pod.

In true Cedrus fashion, there is no need to program. We provide Xidon 2, (pronounced Zydon), a friendly and free app for Mac and Windows. Simply enable checkboxes for the signals that you want.

Thanks to its speedy microprocessor, this translation power adds a minuscule 50μs delay.

Easy to Install and Use

Each m–pod model comes ready to use with the right connector size, gender, and pin assignments.

There are two LED lights on m–pod. The one on the right (🁢) indicates a connection to the response pad. The one on the left (▲) lights up every time an event marker is sent.

c-POD

Worry Free Event Markers

Precise, Asynchronous, Plug-and-Play USB to TTL

High Precision

Where timing precision is vital, you need c-pod. We packed it with a speedy 32-bit microprocessor, a separate, dedicated USB interface chip, and top quality USB drivers for your Mac and PC.

Turnkey Solution

We deliver c-pod ready to connect. The correct pin assignments. Mating connector. Matching TTL or analog signal. And where necessary, built-in optical isolation for the highest signal quality.

Analog Support

If your device accepts analog input (e.g. Nihon Kohden), we support that as well. The Analog c-pod model divides the voltage range into 8 or 16 and generates corresponding voltage levels with an excellent 1% precision.

The voltage range can be between 1 and 10 volts, easily set in software.

“Set and Forget” Output

Asynchronous output distinguishes c-pod from all other products on the market.

In the past, software that wanted to send a 20ms long event marker had to pause running for 20ms. In fields like neuroscience and psychology, 20ms is forever. With c-pod, the software sends a command and proceeds – no pausing.

c-pod has even more advanced features, like a pulse scheduler and a pattern generator

Software Support

c-pod enjoys extensive software support. Some packages can deliver jitter free performance.

RIPONDA

Ergonomic, Versatile Desktop Response Pads

Collect Better Quality Data

Simpler key layouts and customizable keys mean no frustration for participants and less time spent searching for the correct key, yielding better reaction times (RTs).

We built the electronics and matching software from the ground up for better timing.

30 Years of Experience You Can Trust

No other company has devoted as much time to building the ultimate response pad.

Riponda is our 6th generation response pad, the first one having shipped in 1993.
